Owner Testimonials
Once you have one of our puppies, you become one of our family. We love to stay in touch with our families from before the birth of the puppies, right through their lives.
Alfie
What can we say? We have had Alfie for two and a half years although we have been in his life since we found out his mum was pregnant. We knew how the pregnancy progressed and knew that he would be coming from a loving, caring home. From then until we brought him home we were given lots of updates on his development and photos and videos galore. It was lively seeing him as he was growing. Lydia made sure that our puppy was matched with us, our circumstances and family make up. We still get regular check ins with Lydia and she is always there for advice. If you would like a puppy from Lydia, be assured of the best of care. She expects a lot from her puppy forever homes and you would want nothing less.

Rhoswen
How lucky was I to have known Lydia for a number of years, she being a favourite 'aunty' of my boy Fitz and a massive support of our rescue of Tessie.
How lucky was I to be allowed the daily dose of cuteness and hilarity on puppycam with Tatoes Mark 1?
How lucky was I when she uttered the words "there's one here for you if you want......(big pause for effect)".
How lucky was I that she spent time with me talking about my concerns for Tessie, would a forever puppytatoe make or break her? How would Fitz at age 8 react?
How lucky was I that she understood our need for character?
How lucky are we that Lydia breeds with temperament the utmost concern?
How lucky are we that could spend time meeting our tatoe and letting Tessie and Fitz look at her?
How lucky are we that our tatoe manual covered EVERYTHING?
How lucky are we that our family is complete.... (for the moment)?
How lucky are we that Lydia is on the end of a phone if we ever need advice or comfort?
How lucky are we to have Rhoswen, a tatoe of extraordinary powers of snoring, cuddling, running, exploring and playing who hasn't failed to make me laugh every dat for 2 years and 4 months now.
How lucky are we that Rhoswen's temperament has meant she has given Tessie confidence, helped her to be brave, taught her to be naughty?
How lucky are we that after ignoring her 3 months Fitz now gives her a kiss and has forgiven us for this whirlwind in his life?
How lucky are we to be part of the Lyzharo family?
Let me tell you, I can't tally the amount of luck but I can count every blessing.

Trevor
If Carlsberg did puppies...
Having a Lyzahro puppy isn't just having a puppy. It's being welcomed in to the family. Bringing Trevor in to our lives has also brought Lydia and her family, and the families of all of the other puppies from the 2021 litter. All of us have been in close contact since well before these tatoes were even cooking, and I've no doubt this will continue well in to the future.
What we have found in Lydia is someone who is extremely passionate about her dogs and being an ethical and responsible breeder. She had lots of questions for us to ensure that we would be the right fit for one of her precious puppies; and we've had a great many questions for her along the way, too!
Lydia has communicated with us every single step of the way. From before breeding, to pregnancy, birth, watching our baby grow to finally bringing him home and for the rest of his life - she has been there to answer all of our questions and offer advice & support. Trevor has proved to be a wonderful puppy, and is growing up to be a lovely young dog. He is loving, cheeky, always eager to make friends with dogs and humans alike and generally bomb proof! Mostly down to Lydia's hard work in selecting good parents and preparing her puppies for the big wide world. All of these puppies get the best possible start in life, and will continue to have lifelong support from Lydia. You'd be hard pressed to find better.

Mollie.
We already had one schnauzer when we got in contact with Lydia and our experience with her couldn’t have been more different than with Oscar’s breeder. From the start, it was obvious that Lydia cared (and still cares) very much about her dogs. We were asked to complete a questionnaire and have a phone interview - all to work out whether we would be deserving puppy parents. In my opinion, I would say that if a breeder doesn’t do this, walk away!
We got to know Mollie and her littermates weeks before she came home with us. Lydia set up a Messenger chat group with other prospective puppy parents and there was a 24h webcam where we could see the pups. Clearly, she had nothing to hide!
Our Mollie is an absolute delight - cheeky and well-behaved in equal measure, good natured, confident without being boisterous, highly intelligent. One of the real highlights for me has been getting to know the other puppy parents. They have become real friends and we have met up for puppy play dates! Lydia continues to be a real fountain of knowledge and wisdom and if she is (rarely) unavailable, one of the others in the group is always there to answer questions or listen to a rant!
My first (non-Lyzahro) schnauzer Oscar suffers terribly from anxiety and I attribute that in part to the upbringing he had before coming home to me. (Raised in an annexe separate to the rest of the house rather than exposed and socialised). We love him to bits but it is hard to see him suffering. Mollie on the other hand is self-assured and well-adjusted. You may have a long wait for a Lyzahro schnauzer, but it’s worth it in the long run
