Lyzahro's Litters
2021 Litter
Zeeva (Zantanas Somthing Special Lyzahro imp Swe) x Madog (Saraswati Bonno Blue with Lyzharo imp MKD)

Our 2021 litter was a real lockdown litter in many ways. As travel in Wales was still restricted to essential journeys, Madog rose to the position of our first choice stud for more than one reason! Zeeva proved herself to be a wonderful mother with our 2019 litter, and excitement levels were high. Anne and Geraint were waiting for the arrival of the puppies with mixed trepidation and delight, as they were potentially having one to show alongside Madog.
Initial scans proved highly disappointing, as the ultrasound only showed one puppy. A follow up scan thankfully showed four, and Lydia was relieved. The May birth was eagerly awaited, yet, in true Zeeva fashion, she decided to keep up waiting past her official due date! The pregnancy eventually ended with an emergency C section, and Zeeva presented us with eight healthy wiggly puppies under the watchful eye of Meg our wonderful vet. Once Lydia was over the initial shock of four additional puppies and they were safely settled in at home, the litter was announced to the world.

The 2021 Tatoes gave us 5 girls and 3 boys, who soon earned their in-house nicknames. This years crop were known as Joy, Littlest, Wiggles, Dora and Speedy for the girls, and Overdramatic Oscar,Strider and Maybe for the boys. The Tatoe cam was once again set up, and our new owners were able to watch the puppies grow and play with 24 hour access to the pen. The advantages of a summer litter as opposed to our previous winter litter were obvious very quickly, as we were able to spend a lot more time outside, and we were able to give them so many more experiences before they left. We were unable however, to have as many people around them as we would have liked due to the restrictions still in force in Wales, and this was compounded by Lydia's own pregnancy.

The puppies grew rapidly, and we had so much fun raising them and watching them interact with each other and our adult dogs. Evaluations took place at 6-7 weeks and each puppy was matched to their new family, with Joy being chosen to remain behind with Lydia's parents and join our show team for 2022. She was renamed Nia, and setttled in with Madog, who had strongly mixed feelings!

Our 2021 litter theme was The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and this gave us hours of entertainment as we tried to create names that not only fitted the theme, but also fitted the letter restriction on the kennel name registration!

The puppies finally left us at the beginning of July, and we were delighted to see them settle into their new homes with confidence, and bring happiness and mayhem to their new families.
